Red Sky Executive & Artistic Director Sandra Laronde is an award-winning arts innovator available to book for speaking engagements. Driven by her vision and guided by her artistry, Sandra delivers powerful, richly-layered talks on Indigenous art, culture and leadership.

She is passionate about sharing her experiences and knowledge with others. With her intimate knowledge of the Indigenous arts and culture, she has created some of the most innovative programs, projects and productions that reflect contemporary Indigenous cultures in Canada and worldwide.

Recently, Sandra was named as an official Canadian delegate at the 19th ASSITEJ World Congress in Cape Town, South Africa (May 16 – 26, 2017). Sandra has lectured at several universities and colleges as guest faculty including Ryerson University, York University, University of Toronto, University of New Mexico, University of Kansas, Haskell Indian Nations University, George Brown College, and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, among others. She has been an invited speaker at Carleton University, a workshop leader at the National Theatre School, a speaker at the 2015 Canadian Arts Summit, and a panelist at the 11th Annual Canadian Arts Summit, Luminato Festival and Illuminations.

Sandra has participated in national and international forums including Art Matters with 30 other Canadian artists, as well as for Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council, Australian Council for the Arts, Creative New Zealand, and the Arts Council of Mongolia.

As a host, she kicked-off the Pan Am and Para Pan Am Games, and Native Women’s Resource Centre’s first-ever Minaake Awards, Banff Talks, and REDTalks. Three times, she was a presenter at the Indigenous Music Awards, among others.

She has co-emceed the Midsummer Gala Ball, Canada's largest fundraiser at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.

As a keynote speaker, she spoke at the Blackfoot Arts Awards in Lethbridge, Alberta and to the graduating class at the Temiskaming District Secondary School in New Liskeard, Ontario.

She served as a spokesperson for the International Olympic Committee for Toronto's Olympic Bid. She has been a guest presenter on Perspectives on Innovative Management Practices at the Canada Council for the Arts, a panelist for the Portfolio Committee on Aboriginal Affairs with Canadian Heritage, and a panel moderator at the National Gathering of Aboriginal Artistic Expression, among many other events for funders.
